On the 13th of August, Kelopuro updated his blog saying he was taking a break from the game.

“I’ve been on a break for a few days now,” he wrote. “No bad run, no bad beats, no bullshit. Feels nice.

“Don’t even remember when was the last time I took several days off from playing, I definitely should do it more often.”

However, his recent return has not been going as planned.

Last night alone he dumped three of the five largest pots played, collectively worth over 0k.

So far this year, Kelopuro is high-stakes online poker’s biggest loser.

He’s down close to .5 million and has been playing with a smaller online bankroll than other high-stakes regulars.

A decision it appears he now regrets.

“I’ve tried to make a comeback from very small amounts because I don’t want to make a big deposit,” he wrote.

“That’s not good for the game, I think it has made me play more careful and even weak. Clearly that’s not the way to play Omaha.”

In the world of extreme high-stakes poker, even a small bankroll can constitute millions of dollars.

Although this losing session is not what Kelopuro had in mind when he made his return to the virtual felt, chances are he’s still quite far from the end of his rope.

Check out the largest pots from Kelopuro’s latest losing session in the PokerListings hand replayer below:

It’s frigid.

I’m not sure what’s going on in this hand.

Aces… no good.
