Both Joanna Krupa, who recently starred in TV’s Dancing with the Stars, and 2009 WSOP Main Event winner Joe Cada, will appear on the program, which has quickly become the most-watched poker show in television history over its first two episodes.
Krupa will join MMA star Tito Ortiz as one of the show’s celebrity defenders, which form the first line of defense against contestants.
A Polish-born model and actress, she has appeared in magazine spreads around the globe including FHM, Maxim and Playboy as well as starring in the TV show Superstars this summer.
Meanwhile, Cada will attempt to keep contestants from getting all the way to heads-up against Team PokerStars Pro Daniel Negreanu.
In early November, 21-year-old Cada became the youngest player ever to win the WSOP Main Event, taking home .5 million for his efforts.
Cada joins Chris Moneymaker and Vanessa Rousso as second round opponents.
The contestants will have Negreanu’s assistance through the first two rounds, but will then have to decide if they want to take ,000 and walk away or risk it all for the chance to win 0,000 and have a shot at million by playing Negreanu in back-to-back heads-up matches.
In the first episode more than four million viewers tuned in to see a priest from North Carolina win 0,000, while millions more tuned in to see an Army National Guard sergeant and a Boston liquor salesman each take home large cash sums last week.
