ANZPT commissioner Danny McDonagh said a different format had been devised meaning the event will be played at two venues concurrently.
“This is a great opportunity to firmly place Queensland as a new and exciting addition on the Australian poker tournament map. All players qualifying through to day three will play at Jupiters Casino. The overall points’ champion will win a pokerStars.net sponsorship to the Asia Pacific poker Tour (APPT).
Sponsorship includes Main Event entry, accommodation and return economy airfare from an Asia Pacific destination (or equivalent travel allowance whether residing outside that area). Sponsorship will apply to all Season 4 APPT Main Events during 2010.
