But when it comes to the magnitude of those swings, it appears Tom Dwan is second to none.

Dwan, aka durrrr, started 2009 with a series of massive losses, dipping to his lowest point of the year on the first of March, down over million.

While many players would have walked away from the game, either broke or discouraged, Dwan continued playing at the nose-bleed stakes on a quest to regain his title as the most feared player online.

And, it took him just one month to make over .5 million dollars, nearly bringing himself out of the hole.

He spent the next two weeks on a downswing giving back over .3 million, but Dwan soon turned his game around once more, grinding out a long streak of consistent wins.

Just four months after hitting what appeared to be rock bottom, Dwan brought himself up to his peak: .4 million in the black.

But despite the remarkable .4 million dollar upswing, Dwan began his next downswing almost immediately.

Over the next two months, Dwan lost over .3 million, putting him 0k into the red as of Oct. 1.

In typical Dwan fashion, it took him just three weeks to turn his year back around, posting .2 million in wins, bringing himself up to over 4,000 in profits as of Today (Oct. 21).

If the graph can be trusted to continue its trend, we can expect Dwan’s current upswing to last for at least another million before turning south once again.

A true No-Limit Hold’em specialist, it comes as no surprise that Dwan’s Hold’em results are second to none with over .9 million in profits made from the game so far this year.

His leaks have come from playing Pot-Limit Omaha, where he has lost over .7 million.

Some positive results in 7-Game and Mixed HA are the only reason Dwan’s PLO losses haven’t completely ruined his year’s hard work.

Dwan with the nuts.

One hell of a nice river.

A hand that just kept getting better.
